Gentle, normal, everyday sounds such as bird song, theoccasional car going by, and someone mowing their lawn are relaxing, and make for calm and gentle background noise; perfect to help you focus on everyday tasks. This 5 minute audio are recorded sounds from my beautiful, rural neighbourhood in Comox, British Columbia, on Vancouver Island in Canada. Birds only sing when they feel safe and this signals to your nervous system that you are safe as well. This allows your nervous system to relax and feel calmer in the space that you are in. This recording can be put on a loop and is a wonderful way to ground your body and gently relax your nervous system while you are working, doing housework or catching up on odds and ends. The sounds tell your body and adrenal system it is safe, and the sounds shift you out of fight or flight mode.
